Dr. Kominsky believes that the combination of chiropractic treatments along with modern technology, such as his state-of-the-art ACCU-Spina decompression machine (he is the only doctor in Southern West Virginia with this revolutionary machine – of which he has 2 in his Beckley office) will offer the best results, without surgery, for low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, headaches and so much more.

Dr. Kominsky, himself is a life-long athlete, first as a multiple state track champion in West Virginia, then an All-American Track athlete on full scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Post undergrad, he was a pro-runner for team Addidas, and then segued into boxing and won the WV Toughman competition in the light-heavyweight division. It is not surprising that one of Dr. Kominsky’s passions is to work with and train young athletes. At Kominsky Chiropractic, he also specializes in treating athletic/sports injuries. He works with athletes to help them achieve the optimal bio-mechanical care, helping reach their performance goals. And also, innately treat athletic/sports injuries to get the athlete back to their sport asap. Currently, Dr. Kominsky is one of the Men’s Track & Field coaches for the Woodrow Wilson High School where his son, Miles is an up and coming performer. Mike and his wife of 22 years, Julie are both very involved in the Beckley Community. Dr. Kominsky’s daughter, Ali, will be a senior at Vanderbilt University this year. He also one of the team doctors for the WWHS Football program.
